Protecting Your Commissions

Thieves are a problem out in the brick and mortar world is for business owners and thieves are a concern for cyber space business owners. Out in the brick and mortar world, thieves will take money and merchandise and it isn’t any different online. The real world merchants use locks and alarms to deter thieves. Internet business owners need to use anti-theft software to protect their commissions. Here are some things you can do to protect yourself and your commissions:

1. Use Meta Refresh: A meta refresh is a simple bit of HTML code which automatically redirects your visitor to another page (your affiliate URL). It provides a neat way of presenting affiliate links in newsletters. It probably helps reduce commission bypassing and commission hijacking. A big advantage of using meta refreshes is that if merchants change their affiliate links, you can change links on dozens of pages quickly and easily by altering only one file.

One problem is that some search engines don't like meta refreshes because they're frequently used for unsavory purposes. So if you use this technique, use it with caution.

2. Use a URL redirection service. You can use free services or buy a unique domain name for each affiliate program you join. URL redirection makes affiliate links less obvious, so this will reduce some commission thefts.

3. Use a web-based ad tracking service. The ad tracking link initially hides the affiliate link, reducing thefts.

4. Use an ad tracking script. Good ad tracking scripts hide the affiliate link as well as being useful for tracking. It has the advantage that it doesn't promote someone else's domain.

5. Use JavaScript redirect. Because this initially hides the affiliate link, it should reduce commission thefts.

Be aware that thievery is a problem for online businesses and take the necessary steps to protect your commissions.

Affiliate marketing is nothing new on the internet. However, it sure is something that many come and go after. When you are looking to start your own website or blog and add some affiliate marketing links to it, there are some things that you should know. Affiliate marketing is not for everyone. It is not for anyone that is looking to make money fast, nor is it for the impatient. You have to have two things in order to be successful with affiliate marketing, and those two things are patience, and determination. When you put those two together, there is no stopping you or what you can do with your affiliate marketing business.

Affiliate marketing can be done a few ways; it can be done through email, newsletters, websites, or blogs. By using any of these things, you can be successful if you are marketing to the right audience. Finding your readership, and catching them with good content is what it is all about. To do so, you need to know where they go and what they look for. Try starting with message boards to begin with. However, use some patience and don’t come off as the newbie know it all. Take some time and peak others interest. Add the link to your website or blog in your signature line at the message board that you are visiting, and most importantly, make sure that the message board is relevant to your market. If you have a website that pertains to a market that has to do with gardening, you will not want to be visiting a message board that is all about pregnancy. It is really quite simple to understand how these two things must be relevant to get results.

So, once you have found a busy message board that will allow you to include your link to your website in the signature of your posts, you are in business. Just start off by posting and chatting, and when someone asks a question that you know all about and answer to, answer it. This will peak their interest and before you know it, they will be clicking on the link in your signature and checking out your site. While doing this can be quite time consuming, it will pay off. Gain the other members trust, and you cannot go wrong.

The next thing that you should know about getting the most from affiliate marketing is that you should be writing articles. Writing articles on the market that you are promoting and then submitting them to article directories or ezines is a great way to get the most from your affiliate links and programs that you are a part of. Be sure that you include a link in the articles that you are submitting that will lead the readers back to your website. Doing so will get your site more traffic, and will pay off in the end. However, you will not want to submit the same articles that you have on your site to these directories. You will want different variations of the articles to be used in the directories. This is because when you submit these articles to the directories, you are going to see that by checking your back links, there are other webmasters using your articles. Which is also great because they will in return give you a back link to your site. However, they are depending on you to have a different article on your site than the one that you are submitting.

Affiliate marketing is something that takes work. You can not just set up your site and let it go. You have to work on it consistently to see a good amount of revenue come from it. However, make sure that you are doing everything that you can to get it seen. Use the best free tools that there are available to you, and pay for the ones that really work. You will find that you can get the most from the resources that are out there and available.

The Top 3 Money-Making "To Do" Activities

I've always been impressed with those who can take overwhelming things and handle them with ease and poise. It never seemed to work that way for me, until I discovered the secret for tackling those daunting tasks.

The secret is simple: make things simple!

With just about every major undertaking, things can be simplified into a handful of "core" components. That makes them manageable. Manageable fosters productivity simply because I can work on something that seems accomplishable. And when productivity goes up, desired results come.

I received the following question from one of my clients...

"If you have to pick, what would you say are the top 2 or 3 things we should concentrate on? I've heard the domain/site(blog) are the most important, then others say writing info products, others say lists. For short term and long term investment, what is the most important things to be working on?"

This client wants things simplified. And rightly so. He knows the secret to success is getting things down into manageable chunks.

So, what are these core practices for building an internet business? There are three things - and three things only - that you need to concentrate on with your business...

1. Offer Development.

You cannot make money online unless you have an OFFER. It's that simple. Unless there is some way for income to be generated, you can't get paid. End of discussion. Every business is founded upon a revenue-generating offer. Now, this can either be your own offer (small reports, ebooks, membership sites, coaching/consulting, advertising, etc.) or something you promote as an affiliate and earn revenue for referred sales.

2. List Marketing.

The fortune is in the list. You've heard it an untold number of times in the past, right? Building and profiting from opt-in lists should be a major priority on your schedule. You need to devote
yourself to attracting new subscribers and then getting all of your subscribers to spend money with you ... by purchasing your OFFERS (see #1 above).

3. Traffic.

The third and final thing you need to concentrate on is "traffic". This includes both traffic GENERATION (getting visitors to a site) and traffic CONVERSION (getting that traffic to buy). This includes things like: starting an affiliate program, buying PPC ads, participating in joint ventures, utilizing viral marketing tools, raising your visitor value, tweaking your sales pages, etc.

With each of these categories, you have a variety of options to choose from in directing your attention. It would be foolish for me to say "grow your affiliate program" as your number # traffic activity since I don't know if you even have your own product to sell. That's why I
don't recommend specific activities, but rather three key categories of business-building.

With each of these categories, find 2-3 activities to work on each week and you should see results in a short amount of time.

I recommend you work on offer development every Monday, list marketing every Tuesday, and traffic generation every Wednesday. If you just spend a couple hours each of these days working on these core parts of your business, sales should come.

In a nutshell -

- Find an offer to promote.
- Setup a list to promote the offer.
- Drive traffic to the list opt-in page.

Keep it simple. Keep it successful.

AffiloBlueprint: Not Just Another 'Guru' Product

Who else is really tired of all the 'guru' products on the web these days? It seems like everyone has written a course, an ebook or some other product that 'guarantees' making you successful. The reality is though, most of these courses are a waste of time and money – but finding which ones are worth while can be really hard work; and all of us have been taken in by a product that ended in disappointment AT LEAST once. AffiloBlueprint however, was not a disappointment.

First off though, let's talk about what AffiloBlueprint actually is. Created by Super-Affiliate Mark Ling and his Affilorama team, AffiloBlueprint claims to be a complete formula for creating successful affiliate sites. In the first release of the course last year, Ling actually used this formula to create a site in front of a live audience – a site that in turn ended up generating $500 per in profit! In this latest release, Ling goes over that same methodology, but with an improved format and more in-depth lessons.

What really is this 'formula'? The whole idea of AffiloBlueprint is that you can create multiple sites, in any viable niche you like, by using the same process over and over again. This means you can create a whole bunch of small $50 per week sites, and then just build up your income by building a whole bunch of sites. Then, as Ling explains, if you reinvest some of that money back into the sites in the form of building content and SEO campaigns, you can very quickly accelerate your earnings into the thousands a week – just by starting with a few $50 a week sites. This is got to be one of the simplest, but yet most believable methods I've seen for creating this level of income through affiliate marketing.

So what is covered in the course? AffiloBlueprint is a 12 week program with 55 video lessons. Starting out with how to find a profitable niche and market research, you're taken through picking keywords, creating content, building a website, search-engine-optimization, creating newsletters, analytics and troubleshooting (the troubleshooting lesson is brilliant!), and pay per click. So as you can see, pretty comprehensive!

One of the only downsides with this product is that, with all the information it has, you could be tempted to rush through or skip parts. Don't do it! Everything in this course is there for a reason, and if you follow it as it is laid out, you will almost certainly be able to make a successful site.

AffiloBlueprint also comes a custom made Wordpress template, so if you haven't made a website before, you can just use a template created by affiliate marketing experts to build your site. It is obvious that Mark Ling has gone to a lot of trouble to make this product as newbie-proof as possible. Everything is really clearly explained and there is no assumption of knowledge, so if you're just starting out, this product if for you. If you do have some experience with affiliate marketing however, you will still find the systematic structure of AffiloBlueprint useful. This could be what you need to build up your income or fix your under-performing sites.

Getting Backlinks: Why Do You Need One Way Links To Your Blog?

There are basically two aspects to SEO, "on page" & "off page" optimization.

"On Page" SEO is easy because it's totally under your control. It's simply case of making sure you have optimized your web pages correctly.

OK, so there is a bit more to it than that, like keyword research, keyword density & frequency, which html tags to use, making sure your site/pages are W3 Compliant, using relative/absolute internal linking structures to feed the pagerank where it's most effective, using titles and descriptions that encourage people to click through from the SERP's etc.

But essentially, once you know how to do all that, it's not difficult to get it right for all your pages/sites.

It's also less important in the long run than getting sufficient links to your site/pages from other sites.

Getting links to your site is fundamental to getting visitors, and without visitors all the time, effort and money invested in getting your site up and running, and looking "nice", is irrelevant.

No Visitors = No Point!

So links are essential to the health of your site, and indeed your business, but all links are not equal in value to your site.

Reciprocal links will help, but they are far less effective than one way backlinks, i.e. links from another site where you don't have to link back to them. These "One Way" backlinks will give your site a far greater boost in the search engine results and bring you more traffic, providing of course that you have chosen good (relevant) keywords for your links.

There are many ways of getting these powerful one way backlinks, but most you will have no control over the anchor text used (i.e. keywords) in the link, which means their "power" in unfocused and therefore of less use to you in achieving the targeted keyword results you are looking for.

For example, submitting your site to website directories can be a very effective way of picking up some high quality one way links from high PR sites, but you will seldom be able to choose the keywords/anchor text used for the link, often ending up with the site name as the link.

This is not a waste of time, as the Pagerank passed to your site will, with the correct internal linking structure, be passed on to your sites internal pages, helping them to rank better for their targeted keywords.

You have a specific niche -- a void to fill in the marketplace -- with the content of your Website. (In other words, your site has a clear purpose, mission.)

Your entire Web effort is geared toward a specific target audience(s).

You have original content on your Website (not just a list of links) -- even better if it's out-of-the-ordinary. (Content is still king.)

You carefully spell-check and proof-read all content you add to your Website. Errors are going to happen, but do the best to minimize them.

You don't use massively large fonts, long pages that force visitors to scroll endlessly, flashing or blinking graphics or text, or any other kind of cheesy elements.

Your Website is easily navigated, with file names and directories that are both keyword-rich, but also easy to remember.

You provide an easy way for visitors to search your Website.

Your Website design is consistent on all pages of your site -- and the design has been tested on multiple browser platforms to assure quality appearance.

You have a section on what's new to your site.

You provide a FAQ (frequently asked questions) link about your Website and/or the focus of your site.

You develop custom error pages (especially page not found 404 page) -- which include a site directory, search box, and email contact.

You use graphics that are interesting or directly related to your business. Resize graphics to their optimal size -- and always use "ALT" tag to identify all graphics.

Today, I’m going to let you in on a formula I use to turn PLR products into a cash flow. But first, I’ll tell you what most people do and why it doesn’t work.

The average person buys a package of Private Label Rights products and turns around and tries to sell the package “as is.” They quickly find that everyone else is selling the same package and it becomes a price war. The person selling the PLR package at the lowest price gets the orders. There’s very little money in that game.

Here’s how to buy the same PLR package everyone else is buying and turn it into your own personal gold mine.

1. Edit it.

This one should be the obvious choice, but very few people do this. PLR stands for Private Label Rights. That means you can edit the product, put your name on it and voila, you’ve got your very own product to sell with none of the hassle of writing it. You can pump out a product a day using this system.

2. Package it.

Use it as a bonus for a product you’re already selling. Statistics prove that adding bonuses to sales pages increases your sales. People love free stuff, so add a PLR product as a bonus and increase your sales.

3. Use it as content.

Some webmasters pull the PLR product apart and use it as content for a website. That’s a great idea, but add a twist and you’ll monetize it too.

Put each page of the book on a webpage. At the bottom of each webpage place a link to the next page of the book and a link for people to buy the whole book as a download. This works wonderfully.

After about 10 pages of reading online, people get tired of reading web pages and want the book so they can download it and print it. It’s a lot easier reading a book in paper format than online. So people read a few pages online, decide they like the book and click on your order link.

4. Break it down into articles.

Another easy way to sell your PLR ebook is breaking it down into a series of articles. Post the articles in article directories with a link in the resource box for people to buy the book and sales will roll in on autopilot.

And here’s the big secret. Buy PLR products that are sold in a limited quantity. You’ll have a head start on the market and have the advantage of making the most money right out of the gate. And right now you’ve got that chance. But you have to act fast.

1. Follow people that interest you. But don't follow a lot because Twitter might detect you as Spam. And yes, use your real name! Some people use internet marketing guru's names thinking they'll get MORE followers but in the end, they just lose their accounts. So always remember to use your real name. After all, it's also for branding's sake.

2. Automate Twitter with TweetLater.com. This way, you can greet your new followers or share them your site. But hey, don't sell them stuff right away coz they might just hit the unfollow button!

3. Link up your Twitter to your blog using those cute and funky Twitter widgets. So that your readers can also follow your updates on Twitter.

4. Tweet something that will interest your followers.

5. Reply @name and join conversations. Ask or answer tweets. This is powerful because when people reply @you, their followers will see @yourusername. If they liked you, they will follow you.

When Google's AdSense appeared, there were a lot of people who doubted Google's idea would be marketable and actually generate any profits. Yet as we stand here today it's probably the most well known pay per click venture in the world.

Yes, all those nay sayers ended up eating their own words in the end. And that is because the folks at Google never go and do something without assessing whether or not it will be profitable, or exactly how profitable it is.

But of course, as you might very well know, AdSense isn't just profitable for Google. It's also profitable for the people who advertise via AdWords and very profitable for publishers who use it to make earnings which are sometimes just enormous.

So one must ask himself why this is such a good deal for everybody. And the question in itself is very justified because you hardly ever come across something that's profitable for everyone in the chain. So why would AdSense be any different.

Well, AdSense is where it stands today, giving benefits for everybody in the game because it exploits a gap in the Internet's advertising model.

Upon waking up and after having breakfast, the computer is turned on to check out new developments in the network. As far as the marketer is concerned there might be new things to update and statistics to keep track on.

The site design has to be revised. The marketer knows that a well-designed site can increase sign ups from visitors. It can also help in the affiliate’s conversion rates.

That done, it is time to submit the affiliate program to directories that lists affiliate programs. These directories are means to attract people in joining your affiliate program. A sure way of promoting the affiliate program.

Time to track down the sales you are getting from your affiliates fairly and accurately. There are phone orders and mails to track down. See if they are new clients checking the products out. Noting down the contact information that might be a viable source in the future.

Small business owners sometimes lament over the fact that they don't have a million-dollar marketing budget. While we've all thought about how much easier things would be if we had unlimited funds, it's still possible to earn a decent profit with the right marketing plan. However, making a few mistakes can just as easily lose you a nice chunk of cash. Are you making these common mistakes?

1. Trying to market to as wide an audience as possible.

You can't be everything to everyone, no matter how hard you try.

Who did you originally create your product for? Assuming you did your research and know that there's a demand for your product, then you also know who your audience is. Focus your efforts on reaching these people and showing them how your product or service will benefit them. Don't worry about pleasing everyone else.

2. Focusing too much on you or your company.

Don't get caught up in the idea that 'things will get better' if you're not seeing results with your current marketing strategy. If you do the same things, you can expect the same results. If you've put in an honest effort and it's simply not giving you the results you're looking for, then it's time to try something else.

4. Changing or discarding a strategy that works.

It's easy to feel 'bored' with the same old thing... but if you have a winning marketing strategy that consistently gives results, then why change it?

The desire for 'something new' isn't a good reason to discard a great strategy. Sure, you can keep experimenting and testing new methods to see if you can improve upon your results... but be aware that your profits may suffer. Be sure to keep backups of all your marketing materials; if your new strategy doesn't work, you can always go back to the old one.

That's not to say that asking for personal information -- or expecting a phone call -- is inappropriate for all businesses, of course. But in general, if you want people to stick around, make it easy for them.

8. Assuming that visitors know what to do.

I remember visiting one particular site not too long ago. I read the sales pitch and browsed the site... only to find a telephone number and a small form with a place for my email address. Confused, I thought, 'Am I supposed to call to order? What does the form do? Is it a newsletter signup box or is it an ordering form? How do I place an order?'

That site lost my sale, because there weren't any clear instructions. Tell your visitors what you would like them to do, and make the process as simple as possible.

9. Trying to do everything for free -- or not enough.

Many beginners try every free promotion method they can find. Others think that free promotions are useless, so they shell out large amounts of cash on what they believe are "effective" marketing methods.

* 'Free' isn't a 'bargain' if you don't get results.
* Throwing money at marketing isn't going to make your campaign a success.

There are plenty of excellent free or low-cost methods of promoting your business, and many methods that require a larger investment. Both provide excellent opportunities. The goal is to market your business using techniques that give you the largest return for your investment. And if it's free? So much the better; you'll reap larger profits!

10. Basing your marketing plan solely on assumptions or advice.

On Using Twitter

Alright folks, I bet you guys have already heard of Twitter. In fact, you have been using it and already have hundreds, if not thousands of followers. So far, I have 185 followers and currently following 37 people. My Twitter Grade is 82 at the time of this writing.

My personal opinion of this micro-blogging tool is that Twitter is a fantastic tool. I read there are about 3 million Tweeple (Twitter people) and growing very fast. According to this post, Twitter have recently surpassed the Billionth tweet mark.

Unlike social networks where you have to send them an invitation first before being friends with them for contacts, you don't need to have invitation on Twitter anymore. Just follow those people that interest you and you're good to go.

Most people I follow on Twitter are known Internet Marketers. They have 3000, 5000 to as much as 15000 followers! Pretty cool huh? I guess Twitter is now the micro-list builder tool, what ya think? Anyways, I get some traffic from Twitter when I share links. Not that much coz I only have really few followers at the moment. When new people follow me, I don't usually follow them back. And I so don't wanna follow everyone where I can miss the people who give great tweets. Honestly, I really want to build relationships with them, I want them to be my Twitter friends. Well, I guess everytime I tweet, only a few followers actually read it. Pretty slack, ae? Maybe my location is one of the factor, my timezone is so much advance, specially that my followers are from the US. Or maybe they just don't read them. Oh well. Sorry for those whom I am not following back. Peace out. Well, I will follow them back if I feel that they read my tweets and give value to them.

One day I tweeted something like "If you respond to this tweet, I will follow you back. (if I'm not yet following you)" Well, only 1 person actually replied. And to my shock, it was Darren Olander. He's the owner of BuildMyDownlines and ListJumper and others. I'm a member of these two sites. Anyways, so yeah, what I wanna point out is, if you use Twitter, don't just use it for business. Have fun with it, make friends. After all, that is what successful internet marketers also tell us, right? Build relationships, whether networking or list building. I have some Twitter friends actually. They are cool.

While Twitter is such a great tool, you should learn how to use it properly. They block accounts that Twitter thit seems like a spam account. There are people who mass-follow people in order to get followers. These people think that every people who they follow will follow them back. I had another account where I tried doing it, and believe me, it just wouldn't work. I even have more followers to my Feiyie account than the other one. I strongly discourage you to mass-follow. Follow genuine people you really want to follow. But if you follow them and doesn't follow you back, fine. Try to reply to their tweets and be friends with them, they might likely follow you back one day. Time to make new friends via Twitter!

Here's a over-done model...

Now, I have no problems with the above as long as:

1) The person did, in fact, create the results BEFORE they started selling how-to information.

and

2) The information they provide is really of high value.

You'll do much better if you promote products that you fully understand and are already familiar with. This way, you'll be able to write better ads without having to strain yourself coming up with the right things to say.

You should only promote products and services for companies who have gone through the trouble to provide you with training programs and sales aids such as banners and other marketing materials that you can either use directly or model the one you own after.

Be on the lookout for programs with commission rates no less than 50%. You should give preference to programs that pay commission on multiple levels, which means you'll also have to earn commissions on sales made by people who buy the products through your link then go on and become affiliates themselves later on.

I just added Google Analytics tracking codes to my blogs. I am using AddFreeStats and SiteMeter to track the visits to my blogs. I thought of installing it because I'm pretty sure that it would be more great because I so love Google. haha.

Google Analytics (abbreviated GA) is a free service offered by Google that generates detailed statistics about the visitors to a website. Its main highlight is that the product is aimed at Marketers as opposed to webmasters and technologists from which the industry of web analytics originally grew.

GA can track visitors from all referrers, including search engines, display advertising, pay-per-click networks, email marketing and even digital collateral such as links within PDF documents.

Integrated with AdWords, users can optimize online campaigns by tracking landing page quality and conversions (goals). Goals might include sales, lead generation, viewing a specific page, or downloading a particular file. These can also be monetized. By using GA, marketers can determine which ads are performing, and which are not, providing the information to optimise or cull campaigns.

GA's approach is to show high level dashboard-type data for the casual user, and more in-depth data further into the report set. Through the use of GA analysis, poor performing pages can be identified using techniques such as funnel visualization, where visitors came from (referrers), how long they stayed and their geographical position. It also provides more advanced features, including custom visitor segmentation.

I got the notice from Post Fiji yesterday that says I have a parcel. And I just got the letter after a week because it was just yesterday when mom opened our postbox because she went to Nadi for like a week. So yeah. 10 Blog Traffic Tips

In every bloggers life comes a special day - the day they first launch a new blog. Now unless you went out and purchased someone else''s blog chances are your blog launched with only one very loyal reader - you. Maybe a few days later you received a few hits when you told your sister, father, girlfriend and best friend about your new blog but that''s about as far you went when it comes to finding readers.

Here are the top 10 techniques new bloggers can use to find readers. These are tips specifically for new bloggers, those people who have next-to-no audience at the moment and want to get the ball rolling.

It helps if you work on this list from top to bottom as each technique builds on the previous step to help you create momentum. Eventually once you establish enough momentum you gain what is called "traction", which is a large enough audience base (about 500 readers a day is good) that you no longer have to work too hard on finding new readers. Instead your current loyal readers do the work for you through word of mouth.

Top 10 Tips

10. Write at least five major "pillar" articles. A pillar article is a tutorial style article aimed to teach your audience something. Generally they are longer than 500 words and have lots of very practical tips or advice. This article you are currently reading could be considered a pillar article since it is very practical and a good "how-to" lesson. This style of article has long term appeal, stays current (it isn’t news or time dependent) and offers real value and insight. The more pillars you have on your blog the better.

9. Write one new blog post per day minimum. Not every post has to be a pillar, but you should work on getting those five pillars done at the same time as you keep your blog fresh with a daily news or short article style post. The important thing here is to demonstrate to first time visitors that your blog is updated all the time so they feel that if they come back tomorrow they will likely find something new. This causes them to bookmark your site or subscribe to your blog feed.

You don''t have to produce one post per day all the time but it is important you do when your blog is brand new. Once you get traction you still need to keep the fresh content coming but your loyal audience will be more forgiving if you slow down to a few per week instead. The first few months are critical so the more content you can produce at this time the better.

8. Use a proper domain name. If you are serious about blogging be serious about what you call your blog. In order for people to easily spread the word about your blog you need a easily rememberable domain name. People often talk about blogs they like when they are speaking to friends in the real world (that''s the offline world, you remember that place right?) so you need to make it easy for them to spread the word and pass on your URL. Try and get a .com if you can and focus on small easy to remember domains rather than worry about having the correct keywords (of course if you can get great keywords and easy to remember then you’ve done a good job!).

7. Start commenting on other blogs. Once you have your pillar articles and your daily fresh smaller articles your blog is ready to be exposed to the world. One of the best ways to find the right type of reader for your blog is to comment on other people’s blogs. You should aim to comment on blogs focused on a similar niche topic to yours since the readers there will be more likely to be interested in your blog.

Most blog commenting systems allow you to have your name/title linked to your blog when you leave a comment. This is how people find your blog. If you are a prolific commentor and always have something valuable to say then people will be interested to read more of your work and hence click through to visit your blog.

6. Trackback and link to other blogs in your blog posts. A trackback is sort of like a blog conversation. When you write a new article to your blog and it links or references another blogger''s article you can do a trackback to their entry. What this does is leave a truncated summary of your blog post on their blog entry - it''s sort of like your blog telling someone else’s blog that you wrote an article mentioning them. Trackbacks often appear like comments.

This is a good technique because like leaving comments a trackback leaves a link from another blog back to yours for readers to follow, but it also does something very important - it gets the attention of another blogger. The other blogger will likely come and read your post eager to see what you wrote about them. They may then become a loyal reader of yours or at least monitor you and if you are lucky some time down the road they may do a post linking to your blog bringing in more new readers.

5. Encourage comments on your own blog. One of the most powerful ways to convince someone to become a loyal reader is to show there are other loyal readers already following your work. If they see people commenting on your blog then they infer that your content must be good since you have readers so they should stick around and see what all the fuss is about. To encourage comments you can simply pose a question in a blog post. Be sure to always respond to comments as well so you can keep the conversation going.

4. Submit your latest pillar article to a blog carnival. A blog carnival is a post in a blog that summarizes a collection of articles from many different blogs on a specific topic. The idea is to collect some of the best content on a topic in a given week. Often many other blogs link back to a carnival host and as such the people that have articles featured in the carnival often enjoy a spike in new readers.

To find the right blog carnival for your blog, do a search at blogcarnival.com.

3. Submit your blog to blogtopsites.com. To be honest this tip is not going to bring in a flood of new readers but it''s so easy to do and only takes five minutes so it''s worth the effort. Go to Blog Top Sites, find the appropriate category for your blog and submit it. You have to copy and paste a couple of lines of code on to your blog so you can rank and then sit back and watch the traffic come in. You will probably only get 1-10 incoming readers per day with this technique but over time it can build up as you climb the rankings. It all helps!

2. Submit your articles to EzineArticles.com. This is another tip that doesn’t bring in hundreds of new visitors immediately (although it can if you keep doing it) but it''s worthwhile because you simply leverage what you already have - your pillar articles. Once a week or so take one of your pillar articles and submit it to Ezine Articles. Your article then becomes available to other people who can republish your article on their website or in their newsletter.

How you benefit is through what is called your "Resource Box". You create your own resource box which is like a signature file where you include one to two sentences and link back to your website (or blog in this case). Anyone who publishes your article has to include your resource box so you get incoming links. If someone with a large newsletter publishes your article you can get a lot of new readers at once.

1. Write more pillar articles. Everything you do above will help you to find blog readers however all of the techniques I’ve listed only work when you have strong pillars in place. Without them if you do everything above you may bring in readers but they won’t stay or bother to come back. Aim for one solid pillar article per week and by the end of the year you will have a database of over 50 fantastic feature articles that will work hard for you to bring in more and more readers.

I hope you enjoyed my list of traffic tips. Everything listed above are techniques I’ve put into place myself for my blogs and have worked for me, however it''s certainly not a comprehensive list. There are many more things you can do. Finding readers is all about testing to see what works best for you and your audience and I have no doubt if you put your mind to it you will find a balance that works for you.

You have got to identify your target market for your network marketing opportunity. Your target market is the prospect who either wants to increase his or her income or someone who is looking for the benefits that your product offers.

There’s a reason why a lot of network marketing representatives seem like the shady used car salesperson. It’s because they were taught that everyone is their target market.

This is totally wrong.

Not everyone is in your target market, because not everyone is interested in your business opportunity, and not everyone is interested in using your product! Treating every single person you meet like they are in your target market wastes your network marketing representative time.

I know there are several companies who pay bloggers by making blog reviews for advertisers/ companies. It's FREE to sign up and once you have signed up, you will need to apply your blog and need to meet the certain criteria. Your blog must be approved first before you can 'bid' for opportunities.

You don't need to have a new blog. Just blog about the things you like and get paid if you have a 'sponsored review'. Why do they sponsor reviews from blogger? Because search engines love blogs. Try searching for a product and service, I'm sure there would be at least one blog that would show up in the search results. I've tried that before. I blogged about something and when I checked out my stats, I saw a referral link from Google. lol

I'm new to this kind of thing so I can't blog more about it yet. But before your blog can be approved, it needs to be older than 3 months, it should have a PR rank, it should have at least 10 posts a month, and the list goes on. Make sure you check the FAQs and rules first when joining.

And by the way, when bidding for an opportunity, there is a share percentage between the blogger get paid to blog site. It could be 70/30 of the price paid by the advertiser, meaning 70% goes to you, and 30% goes to them. So if you bid for a $100 opportunity and you get that job, you will receive 70% which is $70. The share percentage varies from each site so it really depends.
